The Waconia Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer membership organization of businesses working together to make Waconia a great place to live and work. Our committees are a great way to get involved and network with other business people. Committees meet on a limited basis during the planning and coordination for specific events or functions.
Any member in good standing can be on a committee and joining is not limited to the Chamber contact person representing the business—it is open to all employees of the business. If you are interested in joining one of the committees, please contact Christine at the Chamber of Commerce office.
Ambassadors welcome new business owners to Waconia, providing a personal connection to the Chamber of Commerce. This committee also visits with businesses that have moved to new locations and are under new ownership. They also act as hosts at many Chamber of Commerce functions.
The retail committee promotes the businesses of Waconia in downtown and on the Hwy 5 corridor. This committee works together to plan activities and retail promotions that bring shoppers to Waconia. This is an excellent place to network with other retail business owners.
This committee exists to keep our members informed of public policy issues that affect local and member businesses. We are committed to providing our member businesses access and a voice in city, county, and state governments.
The tourism committee operates under the Waconia Convention & Visitors’ Bureau to develop an overall tourism plan designed to promote Waconia as a visitors’ destination. They also promote city-wide beautification projects.
The Waconia Chamber of Commerce hosts various events and activities throughout the year to promote the community. If you have an interest in serving on one of the following committees, please contact Christine at the Chamber office:
